My Love for Downton Abbey Expressed in Cross Stitch XOXO

Somewhere between Season One and Two of Downton Abbey I knew I wanted to develop a project that would tie in my affinity for the show and a technique that would also express the feeling of Downton.  Immediately counted cross stitch came to mind; it’s easy and something the ladies of the house might have busied themselves with (with approval by the Dowager Countess herself).  I created this pattern for new fans of the show to stitch along as they make their way thru the show on Netflix or DVD and for those of us that wish our Sunday nights were a little less empty now until Season 3!

If you are new to cross stitch, not to worry, it is the easiest of all needlework techniques.  You’ll find plenty of tutorials online and tho the pattern is large it is simplified without losing the charm of Downton.  If you are interested in learning more about purchasing this pattern please click here.
